Review of Uninhabited (2010) by Peter W — 25 Feb 2012
Uninhabited is a good looking film from Australia, but it isn't much more than that. The location and the leads are very easy on the eyes, and the cinematography highlights this. The acting is passable, but not great.
The biggest shortcoming of the movie is the story. It is a by the numbers vengeful ghost story, except with out any scares or tension. Aside from a couple slightly eerie shots, there isn't much to work your nerves.
Only reall recommended for those that love ghost stories, or like lovely scenery with a ghost story. Most should give this a pass, it isn't anything you haven't seen before. Although it may just look a little prettier this time around.
