Review of Undertow (1996) by Kevin L — 14 Nov 2007
To say this is David Gordon Green's least successful movie is as much a slap in the face as winning the runner-up prize in the lottery. A classic southern tale of redemption and uneasy spirits is given a twist with Green's pacing and love of pure cinematography.
Furthermore, this movie proves that Green can make more than plodding, if fantastic, indie dramas.
