Review of TT3D: Closer to the Edge (2011) by Murray G — 19 Apr 2011
A fantastic and utterly engrossing documentary about one of the fastest and most dangerous races in the world. It follows a group of riders, including the hilarious Guy Martin, getting themselves ready on the weeks running up to the Isle of Man TT.
Whether you like bikes or not, you will be shown a brief history of the race's humble beginnings and by the end you'll want to ride home on a Ducati yourself. One thing this film did prove to me is that you have to have BALLS to participate in this kind of race.
It is beautifully shot with some great angles on the races. It is enhanced further by the use of 3D, which stands out particularly on the crashes. It is funny one moment, tragic the next but very entertaining overall!
