Review of Trouble in Store (1953) by Paul D — 08 Jan 2011
I really wasn't expecting much from this film, but I was pleasantly surprised. The acting isn't brilliant but Norman is fantastic, a true legend. Norman drives the whole film, his comic timing is perfect, and his pure clown character is just great, the other actors don't come close.
The best scene has to be the one when his in the shop window, and his displaying the plates and cups, it's so funny. I'm not that much of a fan of the singing, as a film like this doesn't need it, but his voice is strong.
A film for a rain afternoon to cheer you up.
