Review of Tristana (1970) by Dave B — 12 Mar 2008
Catherine Deneuve gives an unmissable performance, subtly transforming Tristana from a naive young woman to an amoral , cold and physically broken adult by the end of the film. Equally good is Fernando Rey's performance as Don Lupe, Tristana's "gentleman" guardian.
Definitely worth watching.
