As a trans woman it contains some inside jokes cis genders may not understand. Resorts to a couple of tired old cliches but doesn't depend on them. All in all a fair look at transsexuals. I recommend this not only to my fellow trans persons, but to people trying to understand transsexualism.
Felicity Huffman really worked hard on this character and did an amazing job.
