Review of Trailer Park Boys: The Movie (2006) by Russell M — 22 Jun 2008
Trailer Park Boys-The Movie is an absolute gem. If you could take all of your favorite comedies of all time and put them in a steel cage match, there is a very good chance that Ricky, Julian and Bubbles would find a way to cheat, get caught, and convince the authorities to give them the win anyway, along with a carton of smokes and beer money.
Now if you haven't seen the TV show, you must as well. But the movie is the perfect intro to three of the most crude, idiotic, and lovable degenerates I've ever seen on screen. To give an extra push, it's produced by fellow Canuck and fan, Ivan Reitman (Animal House, Stripes, Old School, Road Trip, Ghostbusters).
Granted, both of my parents are from Saskatchewan, so it's possible I'm reading more into this one than the average viewer. Nonetheless, these are some of the greatest comedic characters ever.
EVER.
