Review of Torment (2013) by Ryan J — 10 Jan 2015
A young family, head to the country house to bond seeing as the husband has a 7yr old son from a previous marriage where his wife died. While trying to bond they find that some interlopers were using their house to squat in.
After some weird noises spook them they find the son, Liam, has gone walkabouts, but, they find something more sinister is happening. A group of "family" members have taken Liam from them for being "bad" parents and are intent on killing them for their sins.
It's an interesting premise, just not done very well. It tries hard but ends up a little boring, ideas stretched a little thin.
