Review of Toni Erdmann (2016) by Adrian S — 25 Jan 2017
A masterpiece in absurdist comedy! Embracing human truths and all of its contradictions, this rarefied well-intentioned gem evokes the entire gamut of human emotions - joy, sadness, anger and frustration.
Quirky, LOL-funny and heartbreaking, Toni Erdmann is that quintessential life-affirming family dramedy that asks some piercing existential questions without coming across as preachy and highfalutin. Extremely accessible to the mainstream and boasting stellar performances from its two leads (in particular the exceptional Sandra Huller), Erdmann is totally worth your time.
All 162 minutes of it!
