Review of Tom of Finland (2017) by Devin D — 21 Jun 2017
I wasn't expecting this movie to be very good but I'm glad to be quite wrong.
The film is not only a thoughtful depiction of Touko Laaksonen's life but is respectful of his importance to gay men and the foundation of leather daddy culture. What I loved about this film the most is that it beautifully depicts how Art and Artist can affect and change the world.
Films like this are important because they bring light to parts of history that are not regularly discussed or acknowledged.
