A fantastic film for the ages. If you think it's just a chick flick with cool visuals of a bunch of people dying horribly, go ahead and look up the analysis and defense videos on Youtube (feel free to double the speed to get through them if you must), as they touch on the major themes (they may not be what you think) and why this movie has continued to stand the test of time.
It's sad seeing people bash it constantly simply because it's a classic.
