Review of Timecode (2000) by Justin L — 08 Oct 2007
Easily one of my new favorite movies of all time. it's so real and fresh. the characters are so realistic but yet so surreal. the film guides you yet there's so much going on that you can look beyond it.
you can watch it so many times and never see everything. the four shots each play off each other so well. you'll see horribly tragic moments going on in one frame while the funniest thing you've ever seen occurs in another.
it comments so well on life. not to mention the fact that it was done in four cameras on one continuous 90 minute take and was comeplety improvised around a basic plot idea is incredible.
