Review of Till Human Voices Wake Us (2002) by Chad V — 09 Sep 2006
This is about Guy Pearce going back to his hometown for his father's funeral, where he meets a mysterious, eccentric girl (Helena Bonham Carter) that he falls for. Its a little like Garden State, except very dreary and gloomy, and the main girl's secret problem is not epilepsy, it is that she may or may not be the living dead.
It sounds pretty cool, I know, but really it was pretty slow. The acting is good, however, and it kept my interest. But, I was left feeling a little disappointed, as if something more remarkable should have happened but just never did.
