Review of Tig (2015) by Ron M — 03 Sep 2015
Okay... so I've never been a fan of stand-up comedy. At one time I did enjoy a good laugh yet sadly most stand-up comedy spend more time doing jokes based on the standard "lets use more obscene, or rude words". The stand-up comedy world has just been sadden to spend anytime supporting, until I saw Tig Notaro. Tig (2015) is a documentary on a TRUE comedian, a beautiful human being that put herself on the stage for her fans versus trying to be just like every other stand-up. Having watched this film it also gave me a new reason to want to see more stand-up in hopes that some of the comedians out there can actually be funny without foul obscene shenanigans.
The movie Tig (2015) is a beautiful movie, it's sad, it's laughter, it's just perfect. The saddening part of this is most people wouldn't know who Tig Notaro is until they see this movie.
