Review of The Young Offenders (2016) by David W — 14 Feb 2018
Stumbled across this on Netflix on a wet night....knew nothing about it. ..and was pleasantly surprised - a story of Irish black comedy and farce with a few serious social issues underlining it. The two main protagonists Jock and Conor share a three figure IQ between them, but the relationship of adolescent mates is keenly observed.
No spoilers but look out for the final main scene in Conor's kitchen with the handicap and the nail gun. Made me laugh out loud more than once, and that's a rare occurrence.
