Review of The War Tapes (2006) by Mark C — 27 Jun 2007
This movie and Gunner's Palace are the two best documentaries about Iraq that focus on the American soldier's there. This movie provides a fantastic view of the effects of war in the lead up to deployment, the time in country, and the return home.
This movie breaks out of the boundaries of contemporary debate and places larger social issues of war and the armies that fight them in the forefront of its primary topics.
