This is completely fascinating, especially in light of the recent events in Georgia and the USA's firm stance on Russia's bullying of its satellite states. This shows that the US have been overthrowing governments and installing whoever meets their interests throughout Latin America right up until this decade, with the coup on Chavez in Venezuela.
It would sound like a conspiracy theory if the US weren't so open about it, and anything that draws attention to the old fashioned empirical project the US has undertaken since WW2 deserves to be seen by everyone.
