Paraphrasing hitch here: like drops of blood floating on a blue stream in the midst of the woods.Edmund Gwenn is the standout in this atypical Hitchcock film...atypical because:1. it's a comedy, granted a comedy centered around a dead body.
2. it works so well because of, in part, its somewhat genteel nature....
