Review of The Telling (2009) by Tina A — 08 May 2010
A movie starring at least a half-dozen Playboy Playmates -- and they all keep their clothes on. Seriously. But it gets worse...
The plot is set up like an extended episode of "Tales From the Crypt," with former "Girl Next Door" Holly Madison serving as the Crypt Keeper. (Unfortunately, the Crypt Keeper is a better actor.) The three stories, each told by a sorority pledge, are thin, barely developed, and seem to have been assembled over a long weekend at The Playboy Mansion -- sort of like the Playmates themselves. What could have been a cool movie suffers from an obvious lack funding and a couple of ideas that could have been developed into something actually worth watching.
