Review of The Sweet Hereafter (1997) by Kara S — 12 Jun 2008
There is a lot to love in this movie. It is so good I haven't been able to watch it since I have had children. Some of my favorite beautiful little nuances:
--the character who is really the voice of reason can hardly talk because of a stroke, so his voice is unintelligible.
--the character who has the most moral authority also has one of the most ridiculous mustaches I have ever seen.
--the only person who really takes any action is physically paralyzed.
