This was a surprising small, independent horror film that was actaully intelligent and didn't dumb everything down with needless and obvious exposition. Too often horror/thrillers act as if their audiences can't understand what is happening so it was refresing to see one such movie not take that route.
While the pacing could have been better (sometimes it was a little to slow in the build up), The Stranger is definently a gem of a movie especially for those who like this genre.
