Review of The Ruling Class (1972) by Peter K — 18 Jun 2007
As Peter O'Toole's search for an Oscar continues to this day(his special one, not counting), this movie remains the one he damn well should have won for. He is at his demented, hilarious best as a man who thinks he is Jesus.
The film marches to its own drummer with musical numbers when it is not even a musical, and the humor might be a little too cerebral for some. But be patient with it & you will be doubly rewarded.
