It's about politics...but not really party politics, the petty yet all consuming politics of everyday life...of power, principle, partners, pride, purpose. It's also a hilarious acerbic take down of Islington leftie liberal chattering class virtue signally self righteousness.
..we are all fragile hypocrites. There is no man made utopia and sometimes the best you can do in life is belly laugh at it!
