The Mooring is a good thriller film. There are plenty of parts that are derivative of other lost in the woods type films, but the director does a good job of keeping focused and keeping to the story. Too many times I have seen a thriller film where the director wants to add some spice to the movie and ends up taking the film off in many different directions. This movie is the opposite. Yes, it had a slight flavor of the Saturday Lifetime movie of the week, but it was very well done with great writing and excellent acting.

This is a solid movie that you should enjoy. If you want something deep and with a lot of twists and turns, skip this one, but if you want a solid, old fashioned suspense film then this is a great one to check out!
