Review of The Missing Picture (2013) by Robin V — 07 Dec 2014
I liked the idea of this film, the propaganda footage showing only a fraction of the director's experience, and him filling in much of the gaps with his clay figurines, in dioramas and tableaux. The DVD we had only showed about half the English subtitles to the original French narration, so we heard the English, but this was very monotonous and detracted from the message.
I did not get a real sense of a complete project or even a whole story.
