Review of The Miracle (2015) by Sabah D — 28 Apr 2018
Eautiful story of a disabled young man living in a Kurdish village in eastern Turkey.
Expect to be moved by love, generousity and human spirit of the western teacher and the villagers. Stunning views of Kars and super realistic Expression of traditions around arranged marriage in Anatolia.
There is some repetition within the story but over all it is definitely worth a watch even with the subtitles, it is not the most wordy movie.
Sets, costumes and even the extras are very authentic. This movie lacks the tacky gloss that Turkish movies often have.
Highly recommended.
