At first glance it tells a simple stirring 'Boys Own' kind of tale and can be enjoyed on that level.but to treat the dreaded Hun as human beings was, at the time ,treasonous and for this reason the movie was unseen for, I think, 20 years?.
...beyond the sabre rattling, humanity is all we have.
