Review of The Lady (2011) by Sean R — 05 Jan 2012
Don't know what the critics saw, but the film was really great. I enjoyed it and viewed it as powerful and moving. Yeoh as Aung San Suu Kyi is simply irresistable. Also commendable acting is noted of David Thewlis.
I highly recommend this film to my Burmese friends as well as anyone who wants to watch a film about one who rises above obstacles and challenges to take a stand regardless of those who stand in opposition.
