Review of The Killing Floor (2007) by Karla P — 28 Jun 2008
I don't normally rate b-list films, but I have to say that there's "something" about this one. The plot is very predictable and even cheap and funny when it's not meant to be, and the excuse of making a low budget film doesn't apply anymore, since we have seen great films made with zero dollars.
But, I have to say that having a bad direction and being capable of not only doing a good performance, but even growing as an actor, is a huge achievement. Well, Marc Blucas does it here. A terrible film-though a guilty pleasure-with terrible direction and something called cinematography that was hard to see here.
But again, being very actor driven myself, I like when actors like Blucas grow and give decent performances in such bad conditions. Did I mention it is worth watching as a guilty pleasure? It really is.
