Review of The High and the Mighty (1954) by Nigel K — 18 May 2014
If you've ever seen 'Airplane' then a lot of this will seem very familiar, just remember that this was the original and serious. Difficult to take seriously now but almost a history lesson in pre jet flight.
The soundtrack became a worldwide hit and Wayne was in the habit of whistling it when flying, just to 'calm' the passengers!
