Review of The Helpers (2012) by Chris S — 27 Jan 2013
Horrible movie. This is one of the worst written and acted movies that I've seen in a long time. The plot has major holes that make absolutely no sense throughout the entire movie. The acting is amateurish and stiff.
The 'tortures' defy the laws of physics and the writer apparently got bored with his own movie and decided to repeat a torture. There was oppotunity for so much more creativity and realism in this setting, even with the existing tortures, but somebody either just didn't care or didn't have enough imagination.
You could see the writer used elements of other genre movies in this and even failed spectacularly at that. For being "2 miles outside of town on Main Street" the road in front of the motel sure doesn't have anybody driving on it at all.
A big fail in my movie list.
