Review of The Harlem Globetrotters on Gilligan's Island (1981) by Senor C — 02 Sep 2011
I used to watch a lot of reruns of Gilligan's Island when I was a kid & I remember this made for tv cross over movie. It's been moons since Ive seen it. Although not as good as the series it does have high nostalgia.
I even saw the Globetrotters play w/ this line up on my birthday & Curly Neil gave me one of his wrist bands. All the original castaways return except Tina Louise & Jim Backus is barely in this but Im sure fans of the series will enjoy the goofiness of it all even if everyone seems a bit old.
This did take place some 14 years after the original show went off the air. My big question is if you're rescued from the island after being on it for so many years why the hell would you want to continue to live on it? Even if it was turned into a resort.
