Review of The Funhouse Massacre (2015) by Holly K M S — 04 Dec 2016
Pulled in by the guest appearance of Robert Englund, I gave this a watch. Do not go in expecting a horror film but instead go in expecting a very dark comedy- because that's what it is. Occasional gore injections & the odd fast paced chase sequence, keep this a little surprising in places, but it is ultimately an obvious satire of those that seriously occupy the teen slasher genre.
It didn't really take all that much concentration to watch. No twists, no turns. Easy viewing. Dark, a little creepy but generally quite amusing. I don't think this is a film that's flopped but merely a case of it being mis-marketed.
