Review of The Curiosity of Chance (2006) by Mikhael E — 07 Jun 2008
The producers of this movie obviously thought that their take on fims like Breakfast Club and Pretty In Pink would have an edge owing to the central character being gay. They were wrong.
As the films opens we are told the High School setting is "somewhere in Europe". Even the actors didn't know apparently, as their accents wavered between English and "European" the entire film.
The cliched bitchy straight girlfriend, cute straight college jock love interest and single parent dad trying to understand should have made this cliched mess somewhat more charming but instead made it more irritating.
How the hell did this film get funding?
