Review of The Cuckoo (2002) by Tony U — 12 Jun 2007
This movie is visually aesthetically please on many levels, especially the Finnish Landscape filming which was superb. The story concept of 3 survivors all speaking different languages trying to communicate is convincingly done and you grow to struggle with these post war survivors and become attached to all of them...how each fond what they wanted: company amid their lonely struggles to survive.
Beautiful acting, beautiful use of silence in the movie and stunning, breath taking views.
