What starts as a standard sports-documentary takes an emotionally effective turn that should get people talking long after the credits roll. It intimately explores Kevin Pearce's accident and recovery with incredible detail (and painstakingly pulled from hundreds of source materials).
More importantly, it's a deep reflection on the battle between human drive for perfection in the face of physical and mental ability.
