Lesser known silent film based on the French play and inspired by the Edgar Allen Poe poem. Good photography and good acting in this formula "morality tale." The story is kind of like 'The Tell Tale Heart' except the murderer hears bells instead of a beating heart.

This review of The Bells (1926) was written by on 13 Mar 2009.

The Bells has generally received mixed reviews.
