Review of The Bang Bang Club (2011) by Jason K — 17 Aug 2011
Day 18 - The Bang Bang Club (152 Days of Quick Movie Reviews).
The premise to this flick is rad. Following four crazy photographers in South Africa after apartheid and before Mandella's time, a time of unrest and violence. Based on a true story, these four men snapped shots that changed the world. But at what cost to themselves and their sanity? What's seen, can't be unseen. A little slow, but an affecting drama all the same. Accents come and go, on some of our leads, but the point is quite clear. A single photograph can make a difference.
