Review of The Baker (2007) by Neil S — 05 Apr 2008
An amusing feel-good movie. Great if you like Damian Lewis. Directed by his brother Gareth. A simple tale with plenty of slapstick and good family entertainment. Good location in Wales and some lovely shots of the countryside.
Worth watching if you want light-hearted entertainment. Slapstick love scene doesn't really do it for me - and no real chemistry between Damian and Kate (they couldn't have picked a less sexy female for him to play opposite).
The version with added commentary by Gareth and Damian is fun to listen to.
