Review of The Abduction Club (2002) by Hannah B — 09 Sep 2010
A highly enjoyable late 18th century swashbuckling tale of penurious younger sons of the Irish nobility who club together to kidnap potential brides. The beautiful and wealthy Kennedy sisters are the targets, and possibly not wholly opposed to the idea of marrying our heroes, Byrne and Strang, but their keen wits and sharp-tongued barbs certainly put the young fortune-hunting enthusiasts in their place.
But all is not as it seems, and amidst much dashing and derring-do perhaps true love will reign triumphant?
