Review of Texas Killing Fields (2011) by Dave C — 03 Apr 2012
It's a by the books, made for t.v. detective story that happens to be a full feature film. There is not much to set this one out aside from some, at least on paper, popular names. But the actors remain underplayed, even though they do invest as the story moves along.
The story isn't terrible, but the pacing and the flow and feel come across as average on many levels in terms of film making. It is inspired by a true story which gives it a bit of an edge. For what it is it is decent.
The presence of Jeffrey Dean Morgan will probably make it seem better than it is.
