Review of Tess (1979) by Sv G — 22 Feb 2009
At 3 hrs, it' a long film to be sure, but it's beautifully filmed and scored. The performances are wonderfully adapted from the novel to screen. It's a tragic tale of endurance in a hard life and redemption.
Costume design for this film is also worth noting. Pretty much a flawless film.
