Review of Tactical Unit: Comrades in Arms (2009) by Mattias E — 19 Jun 2009
Law Wing-cheong successfully replaces the urban jungle of the original PTU-movie with a real one in this final installment in the series, the only one.
To actually live up to Milkyway standards thanks to Johnnie To-cinematographer Cheng Siu-keungs good eye and the writing skills of double team Yau Nai-hoi and Au Kin-yee. This new environment proves to be most effective for the kind of cat and mouse game Yau and Au thought up, and also a great way of displaying the special camaraderie that ultimately seem to define the PTU, despite internal rivalry and differences. A solid piece of work albeit of minor importance in the vast and impressive Milkyway catalogue.
