I'd have to call this Sugary Muddled. Not trying to be disrespectful. I understood about the kibbutzim but portions of the story were not developed, just dropped. The dog for instance. The fact the mother seemed well enough to get a boyfriend but then went back off the deep end.
I felt more for the boy, his coming of age and his brother.
