Review of Suzanne (2013) by Paul K — 15 Jan 2016
Following on from 'What Maisie Knew' we watched this, another tale of a small child neglected by its parents. The focus is on the mother here, though, and her father, a truck driver. Unusual in that this is a slice of French working-class life, told in a way that doesn't condescend.
It's a powerful tale of a crazy girl who is carried away by her passion, and is redeemed by her father's love, and her own love of her sister.
