Slick, funny, and cool homage to spaghetti westerns done with a Japanese twist. Miike chooses to embrace the Japanese accent with open arms, perhaps so that more Americans would watch it or perhaps just because it's more like a Leone/Eastwood Western.
Either way, it has an interesting, maybe a little distracting, but overall loveably campy effect.
