As a film critic, I review faith-based movies all the time. This is one of the best and 'hand-seared' movies made in 2011. In an age of cookie-cutter movies, this stands out for it's stark originality and fresh viewpoint.
I disagree that the film is preachy - what, having a pastor prove God exists in 30 seconds is preachy? This is a brilliant film that strips of all excess subplots and unnecessary dialogue. Bravo to Malcolm and the producers for making a brave and bold movie with heart.
