Review of Stung (2015) by Trilobiteg — 28 Jan 2016

You know with such an intriguing and silly premise, this movie has a panorama of opportunities to come up with some genuinely scary, gruesome and funny ideas. Does it fill these opportunistic wholes? In some cases, yes.

There were a few nifty and pretty skin crawling visuals, and I chuckled here and there. But overall, this dumb mess of dialogue and awkward humour with characters you simply do not care about as their background is rushed and embarrassing.

I was consistently questioning the choice of pacing as well as the lore of these mysterious bee like creatures. Give the monster some damn respect! It has all the wacky potential with little entertainment added to it.

I really would give this one a miss, Stung is not funny nor scary enough to be anything. It's an experiment, and much like it's displayed creatures, turns out ugly and disgusting, coated with blood.
