Review of Stripperland (2011) by August C — 09 Aug 2011
A brain-dead, mildly entertaining parody of "Zombieland" in which a stripper virus turns almost all the world's women into scantily-clad cannibal corpses with an affinity or hip hop, high heels and poles. Pretty well politically incorrect on every level and often self-consciously so. Drags a bit in spots and some of the jokes don't work, but succeeds often enough to elicit a few chuckles. Visibly low-budget but makes the most of what it's got. Shake it 'til it falls off, baby.
Despite the assertions of both Netflix and Flixter, Gilbert Gottfried does NOT appear in this flick.
