Review of Street Thief (2006) by Erick F — 20 Aug 2010
Good little mockumentary you made there. It is in the same breath as "MAN BITES DOG" where there are times where you aren't sure if this is real or fake. The film does a great job and making you want to think this is all real, but it is not.
The main character was extremely well casted to play Jasper Karr. The ending was a little abrupt and weird, but it just made the film feel more real. Which was great. When he disappeared you had a feeling that somehow we were going to get reacquainted with him.
But it never happens and the movie just ends. I think that took balls for a narrative to pull off. Also, to pull it off well. Good Execution Good Concept, watch it!
